My Story
People often ask how I found my way to executive coaching.
The answer isn't a single career change. It's a thread that's been woven through every chapter of my life.
Before becoming an Executive Coach with Novus Global, I worked in mental health, software development, and leadership. On paper, those careers don't seem to have much in common.
Looking back, I see the same question running through all of them:
What helps people thrive?
Working in mental health taught me the importance of listening beyond the surface. It showed me that every person carries a story, and that meaningful change begins long before someone finds the "right" answer.
Working in technology taught me something different. I saw incredibly capable people solving complex problems every day while quietly carrying questions that couldn't be answered with expertise alone. Questions about purpose. Direction. Leadership. Identity.
Across every season of my career, I found myself drawn to the conversations that helped people see themselves—and their possibilities—more clearly. Looking back, I don't think I changed careers as much as I discovered the work I'd been doing all along. Coaching simply gave it a home.
Today, I have the privilege of partnering with leaders who are navigating meaningful decisions, transitions, and questions about what's next.
I've learned that the conversations that change our lives rarely give us new answers. More often, they help us recognize the ones we've been carrying all along.
Beyond Coaching
When I'm not coaching, I'm most alive on the water—racing sailboats, exploring new coastlines, and embracing adventure.
I also love gathering with family and friends, making my nephews laugh, and exploring new places. These moments remind me that a meaningful life isn't just measured by what we accomplish, but by how fully we engage with the people, places, and experiences that matter most.
At the heart of my life and my work is a belief beautifully captured by St. Irenaeus:
"The glory of God is man fully alive."
To me, that's an invitation to become more fully who we were created to be. To live with courage, purpose, curiosity, and joy.
